Uncountable Noun for SSC | Railway | BANK in Hindi/English 2020-21

    •   बहुत ही आसान भाषा में, जिन चीज़ों को हम fingers  पे count  नहीं कर सकते उनको uncountable noun कहते हैं।

ये  चीज़ें या तो इतनी छोटी होती हैं की इनको गिना नहीं जा सकता, कोई feeling , idea   या expression.

For example-

Sugar, tea, water, air, rice, fear, love,

money, knowledge Beauty, anger,

Safety, evidence, research,

etc.

    •    RULE: Uncountable nouns को count नहीं किया जा सकता इस वजह से उनको plural form में use नहीं करते।

For example:

How many sugars are sufficient for the tea?  (wrong)

How much sugar is sufficient for the tea?   (right)

 

   Uncountable  nouns की quantity  को बताने के लिए हम कुछ expressions  का उसे करते हैं, जो कुछ इस प्रकार हैं

      •         some,
      •         a lot of
      •         much
      •         a bit of
      •         a great deal of

या फिर exact measurement बताते, जैसे

      •         a cup of
      •         a bag of
      •         1kg of
      •         1L of
      •         a handful of
      •         a pinch of
      •         an hour of
      •         a day of, etc.

 

For example-

      •         I’ve ordered some new furniture for the house.
      •         Please do not add a lot of sugar to the tea.
      •         I’m much happy now.
      •         Add a bit of salt to it.
      •         Add a cup of flour to make platter.
      •         A bag of cement is sufficient for the construction.
      •         Add a pinch of spice to every bowl.

→ कुछ nouns  ऐसे होते हैं जो दूसरी languages  में तो countable  होते हैं, लेकिन English  language में uncountable  होते हैं।

For example-

travel, trouble, weather, work, luggage, news, progress, traffic,

behavior, bread, furniture,

information, accommodation, advice, baggage, etc.

ऊपर दी हुई information  को ध्यान में रखते हुए नीचे दिए हुए sentences  को judge  करिये

    1.     The company didn’t make progresses this month.
    2.       My mother always gives me advices.
    3.       This looks like troubles to me.
    4.       The team did works that day.
    5.       How much breads should he bring?
    6.       Her hairs are golden

 

 अब देखते हैं की इन sentences  को किस तरह से सही किया जा सकता है

    1. The company didn’t make much progress this month.
    2.       My mother always gives me advice.
    3.       This looks like a lot of trouble to me.
    4.       The team did an hour of work that day.
    5.       How much bread should he bring?
