     1. Gir Forest National Park

  • Location: Junagadh, Gir Somnath and Amreli Districts, Gujarat
  • Established: 1965
  • Animal Found: Asiatic lion, Indian leopard, Indian cobra, jungle cat, striped hyena, Golden jackal etc.

     2. Corbett National Park

  • Location: Nainital District, Ramnagar, Uttarakhand
  • Established: 1936
  • Protected Animal – Bengal Tigers

     3. Dudhwa National Park

  • Location: Lakhimpur Kheri, UP
  • Established: 1977
  • Animal Found: Swamp deer, sambar deer, barking deer, spotted deer, hog deer, sloth bear, ratel, jackal, civets, jungle cat, fishing cat, leopard cat.

     4. Ranthambore National Park

  • Location: Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan
  • Established: 1980
  • Protected Animal – tigers, leopards and marsh crocodiles

      5. Sanjay National Park

  • Location: Koriya District, Chhattisgarh
  • Established: 1981
  • Animal Found: Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, Spotted deer, Sambar deer, wild boar, Nilgai, Chinkara, Civet, Porcupine, Monitor lizard etc.

      6. Hemis National Park

  • Location: Leh District, Jammu and Kashmir
  • Established: 1981
  • Animal Found: Tibetan wolf, the Eurasian brown bear (endangered in India), and the red fox

      7. Bandipur National Park

  • Location: Chamarajanagar District, Bandipur, Karnataka
  • Established: 1974
  • Protected Animal: Tiger

      8. Gangotri National Park

  • Location: Uttarkashi District Garhwal range, Uttarakhand
  • Established: 1989
  • Animal Found: Snow leopard, ibex, tahr, Himalayan barbet, serow, pheasants, partridges, doves, pigeons, etc.

      9. Indravati National Park

  • Location: Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh
  • Established: 1975
  • Animal Found: gaur (Indian bison), nilgai, blackbuck, chausingha (four-horned antelope), sambar, chital, Indian muntjac, Indian spotted chevrotain and wild boar

     10. Keoladeo Ghana National Park

  • Location: Bharatpur, Rajasthan 
  • Established: 10 March 1982
  • Protected Animal – species of migratory and resident birds, including herons, cormorants and eagles

     11. Nagarhole National Park

  • Location: Hunsur, Karnataka 
  • Established-1988
  • Protected Animal – Tigers, Asian elephants and a variety of birds

     12. Sariska National Park

  • Location: Alwar, Rajasthan
  • Established-1955
  • Protected Animal – Tiger

     13. Betla National Park

  • Location: Latehar district of Jharkhand
  • Established: 1986
  • Animal Found: Tiger

     14: Buxa Tiger Reserve

  • Location: Alipurduar district of West Bengal
  • Established: 1983
  • Animal Found: Tiger

     15: Desert National Park

  • Location: Jaisalmer, rajasthan
  • Established: 1981
  • Animal Found: desert fox, Bengal fox, desert cat, wolf, hedgehog, blackbuck and chinkara.

     16. Kaziranga National Park

  • Location: Kanchanjuri, Assam
  • Established-1908
  • Protected Animal – One-horned rhinoceros

     17. Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary

  • Location: Chickmagaluru, Karnataka
  • Established-1951
  • Protected Animal – Tiger

     18. Kanha National Park

  • Location: Madhya Pradesh
  • Established-1933
  • Protected Animal – Tigers, jackals and wild pigs

     19. Sundarbans National Park

  • Location: West Bengal
  • Established-1984
  • Protected Animal – Bengal Tigers

     20. Kali Tiger Reserve

  • Location: Uttara Kannada district, in Karnataka
  • Established: 1987
  • Animal Found: Bengal tigers, black panthers and Indian elephants
